Ruhe would be suitable for any Guards commander - colonel or general. He has the look of disdain for mere mortals perfectly.

I have not been idle during the Festive Fattening....

the link will take you to some of the latest dabblings..

http://www.leagueofaugsburg.com/gallery ... 7-376.html#

The Apostle equipped infantry are a reality and already being finished. They will be available in Q1 if all goes to schedule.

The Horse cornet is alreadt sculpted together with 6 other cavalrymen including 3 troopers, 2 officers, trumpeter and this fellow.

A further 4 troopers are being sculpted now. This will give an initial choice of 11 different variants at least three of which will have multiple arm option giving a total of 14 variants initially.

The highlanders... well... that depends

Updated shop images too

Barry:

I just rushed over here after seeing your post at TMP. I couldn't have asked for a better finale for 2011 than the two blokes above.

Of course the troopers & etc., &etc. ain't bad neither! Let us know how to grease the slides for the realization of the Scots. That is my initial project with Warfare Minis, a sort of generic "1689" in Scotland and Ireland, later expanding to The Continent. 2012 is looking even better than a few days ago.

I see by my clock you lot over there are at about 2230 hours at this point. I'll hoist a couple in a few hours to the successful, and continuing, expansion of WM beyond our wildest dreams.

A kiss on all your cheeks (no, not a drop as yet...) and a Happy New Year to us all, everyone. :D

What do the Highlanders depend on? Billy Connolly relaxing his image rights?

Seriously, those look smashing. Keep 'em coming.

I have yet to thoroughly look over the Spirit Games website. Any thoughts on this? BTW, I enthusiastically echo your thoughts ("Keep 'em coming") above :D .

Great question.. what does it depend on!

Well, finance first and foremost. That is related to demand. I of course can expect no guarantees or pledges from interested gamers and won;t work that way. I like the old capitalist principles of invest in what you believe in and see what happens WARFARE has been a bit of a ifnancial gamble for me with my stake size quintupling in the space of 6 months.

I am glad to say though that the financial exposure is much less than I could have hope in such a short time. This had prompted me to commission several new sculpts from Clibinarium and also to engage another sculptor who I have known for many years to sculpt the Apostle equipped figures. The Highlander was a one off sculpt he did a few years ago to which I am acquiring the rights. On the back of this, I may well commission a further series of sculpts which would fit in the period 1640-1719.

So, long explanation but I know many of you are genuinely interested i both the development of the range and how decisions are made.

I already have work in the bag from Clibinarium and he is working on new Jacobite Cavalry now. So.. onward and upward with WARFARE.

Sales have been good enough for me to feel confident that we'll even get to the FRENCH in 2012.... real French!

How will the Jacobite cavalry differ from the other horse.

They are being sculpted in the 'style' of the Sarsfield personality. They will have a wilder look about them with less formal equipment and open coats. I want them to be distinct, animated and aggressive looking.. the brief to Clibinarium is very clear and he is getting on with it in short order!

PS - Ginger, what is it I am looking for at "Spirit Games"? Or is it simply discovering a great place to visit?
