It must be guards week as I will also soon have an offering of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards :)

Wonderful details - however, as a Royal regiment, I went for drummers in red coats?

Thanks! I tried to hide the musicians - I need to add the lace on them - I believe they had swallow's nest and wide bands? Are they supposed to be in red coats?

Ray, I have more, but I need to replace the flags - this blog has taught me the error of my sources (which caused me to wing-it a bit) - so now that I have better examples, I shall be issuing new flags to my English reg'ts. (Howe's, Gray's, Marlborough's) before I can present them without research-envy(?).

I believe they should be. Unlike the regular line infantry regiments, the Foot Guards didn't clothe their drummers in reversed colours but used the King's livery instead, which was a gold-laced crimson coat with blue facings.

Hi Ray,

While reading through all the entries here I wonder if you may help me with this one. You have done of course a lot of reading and researching for your part of the Army at Blenheim/Blindheim. Could it be that you have also found a list of the Imperial Part of the Army under Prince Eugene?

I won't promise anything but that may be a future Project of mine - Prince Eugene's Imperial Army or even that one of the Markgrave of Baden which was the one in which some Saxon units served :D

I would appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
PM me please as I dont want to pollude your Thread with this. Thank You.

Best Wishes,
Günter

Hi Ray,

Thank you for sharing this knowledge with me! You may be right about doing all  Besides of this I opened a tread in the Help Section with another smaller part of the Reichsarmee under the Markgrave of Baden. which will be raised too. Ah and there are Saxons in there :D .

Thank You once more!

Cheers,
Günter

Friedrich August I/Gunter,

The Imperial infantry at Blenheim were actual part of Marlborough's army and lent to Eugene for the battle. All the actual Imperialist infantry was either with Baden or in garrison/other duties.

The Saxons had fought in this area in earlier campaigns but they went home in May 1704. Most of them fought in the GNW campaign in Poland in 1704.
