Reading recommendations

Post by simon boulton » Sun Jul 31, 2005 10:20 am

Hi everyone,
i'm wondering what books people would recommend for the war of the league of Augsburg and Irish Jacobite war? I'm looking for accounts of the wars and battles as opposed to uniform info. Also, any good fiction?
Best wishes

Coming from a slightly differetn angle:

The shadow of a Crown by Meriol Trevor is a very readable biography of James II.
Killiecrankie(Partizan Press I think) by Stuart Reid.
Atlas of Military History(David Chandler) has a good section on the Nine Years War
Search the web under League of Augsburg and you will get dozens of sites with military/political history.

There's some more to be going on with!
