garde francais and swiss grenadiers

Dear All,

sure this is an old one...

Did grenadiers in the French and Swiss guard of the early 18th cent, ie during WSS have grenadier style headgear?

If so, does anyone know what kind?

No, French grenadiers appeared to wear an ordinary hat and later, tricorne
