ciaphas,
If you have BLBv2, open to page 83, there a a complete breakout on how to base your figures. If not, then Polish winged Hussars, Pancerni, Turkish Sipahis and other regular cav in in squadrons of 6. Tribal cavalry like cossasks will be base the same.

Hi seem to have submitted prior to finishing the post, i understand that these are based in 2's rather than the westen 3 for the most part what i am confused by is tribal cavalry again i assume 6 per squadron but how many per base?

I'm using 2 per base...that was carried over from another rule set, but you can use 2 or 3, as long as you count 6 figures per squadron.

What figures are you using? In 25/28's? Post some pics once completed.
I'm working on my GNW project and hope to tap into the Eastern Wars too.

Hi, this is yet another 10mm project, I am trying to work out how to carry of the "swarm" notion if the bases are the same size, eastern to western, what i might do is place the 6 figs on one base allowing a more chaotic look.
I have no problem with the hussars, and "professional" units based as western but I feel that the cossacks and tartars should not look as neat (ie in presentable rows).

jon

but as soon as i get up and running i will endeavour to post pictures

ever thought of using hexes for irregular cavalry. I have done is several times and it looks brilliant. Huns and Cossacks
