New Ebor figures part 2

Post by Eugenio von Savoy » Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:28 pm

Hi all,

Considerably later than promised but here is the second Ebor battalion.

This one is one of their battalion packs, the Dutch firing line and is painted up as the Battalion Prinz von Holstein-Beck and is post 1698 when they were maintained by Zealand. The flags are of cloth as usual. 8)

I have also uploaded another pic of my Savoy unit, the Monferato Battalion with their new cloth flags and cast finials. See my earlier post for more pics.

I see from the Ebor website that there are now British, Imperial, French and mounted dragoons and Horse available. There are two new marching figures with a range of heads to maximise variation within units. :D

Nice work there!

Hi, Tim!

Really great work with these units. How did you do the flowers on the command base?

Cheers, Rohan

Thanks to Rob/Rohan/ Gunter

I place flowers on all my command bases these days, what ever the period being played. If the unit has no flag, rare I accept, then it helps with identification. The manufacturer is Minin Natur Silflor and I get them via Brian at Mutineer Miniatures, through the mail and at shows.
http://www.mutineerminiatures.com/

Even my recent Late Roan/Hunnic arny has them! Pictures to follow once I sort out my broken camera.

I currently have about 18 various packs of their tufts and flowers open and being used. I tend to use the late summer and early fall for the greenery generally, with their late fall range for more arid terrain.

The cloth flags are all my own work. I have a library of about 100 unit flags for this period - either accurate or very likely designs for those where no or little information is available. Check out the pictures in my earlier posts on the Boyne, Aughrim and Sedgemoor games and on our group website:

You may also wish to see some pictures I loaded up on to the General Discussion scetion about our little WW1 adventure of last Friday evening.

Gunter - I rarely paint for others but I do find the early C18th period so refreshing and relaxing so I may be able to assist. Please send me a PM if you wish to discuss further. Thanks.

Regards to all,

Tim
