Thanks for your kind words.

The figures are all from my collection, painted by myself. The flags are copies from various sources, enhanced with paint by myself (a technique I'm doing for quite a while).

The next regiment will be Saluzzo, the old uniform with the striking lemon yellow facings on grey uniform coats.

And yes, I will add more informations on the Italian theatre.

@flick40

Great report, thanks for providing the link.

Superb work El Cid, great painting, basing & posing.

By the way who makes the mastiff type dog, very useful figure.

Hello:

Very nice stuff. I have been "keeping a candle" for the Savoyan Army since the mid-late 70s when "Armies and Weapons" magazine's fold-out in a particular issue was a full-colour presentation of the the army of the 1690s (I believe). Probably before your time. :shock:

I still have it here somewhere and now with Barry's "Apostolics" coming out intend to finally do that army. If you, or anyone else, happen to be familiar with said poster do you have any comments on the accuracy of the depictions?

BTW, did you frequent the Crusader Minis Yahoo group many moons ago? Or was that another "El Cid"? :?

Cheers,

Michael
