schlangenberg regiment

Post by MNFS » Thu Apr 25, 2013 2:01 pm

Hi Guys,

I've seen the schlangenberg regiment represented as white with red cuffs or grey with blue, do you know what the weight of opinion supports for the right uniform colour during the NYW?

Many Thanks,

Mark

hall show's the following
man 1686-89 white , white cuffs
man 1691 red, red cuffs
man 1696 white ,red cuffs
man 1705 white , red cuffs
drummer 1705 crimmson , linning aurora lace white button's possibly tin.

Thanks very much!

I'll go for the 1696 Arsenal colours of red & white!

Just being picky... Slangenberg was Dutch, to avoid confusion with the German Schlangenbergs, I would drop the "ch", it also easyies up searching the right person.

I quite like the idea of red with red cuffs for Slangenburg's, I've not heard that for this regt before.
