I probably won't have time for a game tomorrow as I'm only able to duck in for a short time, but I will pop round for a chat.

Cheers

The day went really well and Bob and myself ran four different games and everyone who took part had a great time and picked the rules up very quickly and the display material attracted a lot of attention. It looks like a lot of people patiently waiting for them to be printed.

Gerry, sorry you couldn't make it, you were missed.
Cheers

I finished editing the text today and Barry and I are scheduled to go over final photos tomorrow...

The files should be off to the printer by the end of the month if not sooner...

Excellent news.
I saw the excellent demo at kirriemuir, but didn't have time for a game sadly. Managed to say hi and have a quick chat to Barry and then had to dash off.

The game looked great though and after seeing some of the sample pages, I can't wait to get my mitts on the real thing.

You would have struggled to get a game because of the two little kids that kept coming back for more games.
They were having a whale of a time and despite the best advice from us 'experienced' wargamers they kept doing things that you knew should end in disaster but their dice rolling was amazing. If it wasn't for the fact that they were using my dice I would have started to get suspicious at the number of 6's they could roll and it was just as amazing at Toggy's ability to roll 1's and 2's for hit against his characters.

Hi

Any news of the release date?

I´m very keen to try them out for our Scanian War "Snapphane Style" project.

Best regards Michael

I ma hoping to have them finished in the next week to ten days... I'm not sure what the turn around time on the printer will be, but we should be offering pre-orders very soon.

To get you started on organization...

First and foremost, there is nothing to stop you from simply piling all of the models in your collection onto the table and having at it. With experience you will even be able to design scenarios without resorting to lists. But let's face it – army lists are fun! Besides providing the framework to ensure a reasonably balanced game, they serve as a target for collecting and expanding your model army. The force list has been designed for three levels of gaming: Basic Games of 4 force points, Standard Games of 6 force points, and Large Games of 8 force points (the later may require a table of 4x6' or larger).

Regardless of the size of game, each force gets one free Hero level Character who is the leader of the force and represents the player on the table.

For each force point allocated, you may choose:

12 Recruits or 9 Mounted Recruits
8 Drilled or 6 Mounted Drilled
4 Elites or 3 Mounted Elites

Units are assembled in groups of 3-12 models of like class and need not be fielded in lots as purchased. For example, if you choose two force points worth of Mounted Drilled troops rather than simply deploying two units of six models, they could also be fielded as one Unit of 12, four Units of 3, two Units of 5 and 7, etc.

These will provide the basis for a fast and fun game, but once you have the basics down you will want to add additional characters. For each force point you may add one special character, but we'll have to wait on the book for those...
