ULB

Post by j1mwallace » Fri May 06, 2005 10:44 pm

Cheers Barry, downloaded, printed and read already.
Mr Derek Nish and I will have a game on Tuesday and give them a try.
They certainly read fine, look as if they'll play fast and even the muttonheads in Dumfries will be able to understand them, provided they are sober that is.
we have a new venue by the way. Another pub. Even better than the last one. the landlord even provides free scoff!! :D

Hi Barry,
Got the ULB link, this time I've put the e-mail safe in my folder as well as adding the site to my favourites, so no more losing them (I hope!). As a matter of information have you tried the 'Lace Wars Scenarios - The Wars of the Grand Alliance - Charles Fort 1680 - Ath 1697' by Stephen Danes? They are usable with any rule system and complete with some scale flags.
They look pretty good to me (but then what I know about this period could be written on the back of a stamp, and a very small one at that!). There are other supplements covering the Battle of the Dunes 1658 to Belgrade 1717. Perhaps someone could cast an eye over them?

I figured it out. When I click on the line within the email I get a 404 error message. In looking at the url on my address like I see a right paren & a quote or tick mark. Just put your cursor at the end of the url and backspace to remove them. The link worked for me after I did that.

Andy,

that sounds really good. Where do you get a hold of it?

Quindia/18th Century Guy hope your technical fudging has resulted in the rules being available to you both. Lindsay is also in the States and he has had a problem retrieving the link too.

Let me know if you guys are ok with this

Cheers

Hi All,

I think quite a few people had experienced trouble with a corrupted link to the Rev2 Version of ULB. Some had also deleted the link by the time the correction was posted so this evening it has gone out again to all subscribers. Seems to be trouble free this time.

Hope it's what you're looking for :D

All the best

Barry

Hi,

a couple of new Subscribers requested the ULB link. I won't be sending it out until the next Rev(3) So check your inboxes now and you'll find them as attachments!

Cheers

Barry

I have just found your web site and seen the ULB tasters - they look good.

I have been collecting Front Rank Malburians despite not being able find a set of rules I like, but, from what little I have seen, LB looks about right.

Having said that, and I am sure you are sick of hearing this, I can't log on to the "Members" part of the web site and hence down, oad the full version of ULB.

Am I missing something? Is there another way to get ULB?

Thanks

Hello David,

welcome to the site! The members section is an admin field for myself and the webdesigner. You need to `Subscribe to the Newsletter' (which is free). That way your e mail address will be on the site address book. When updates of rules etc are posted by me in the Private Section(Subscribers only access) then you automatically get sent a link to the download. As the links only go out when a new posting goes up then normally you'd have to wait till the next revision...... however....
If I get your e mail address(on the Newsletter Subscriber list) I will actually send ULB directly to you by e mail. It is a fairly large PDF and will take about 5 minutes to download.

Hope this helps....

I'll watch for your name on the list

Best and thanks

Barry
