The idea has pushed forward a bit more this morning in a conversation between Adrian and I. Looks like it's now a matter more of 'when' rather than 'if'... which is very good!

As Barry's already mentioned - we had a chat this morning and we are both quite excited about it!
We are mulling over a few things/ideas/practicalities and as they say...where theres a will, theres a way. We will continue to work it out and would like to think it's got a good chance of happening - all on an historically accurate and newly sculpted battlefield... Like Barry, all of the terrain and buildings will ALL be Adrian's Walls , with the imminent release of our 1600-1700 buildings range- only the 'foilage' will not be from either us or Warfare Mins. We think it will be very special game. We will keep you all posted and probably have lots of talk of it at the upcoming Dumfries Weekender event.

Yup, as Ade says, this could be a wee bit different. We are looking at ways right now of creating a 'payback' for anyone who comes along in the form of 'hard assets' in a wargaming context.

Doing a bit more background and found this (again). Previously came across it and forgot.

Most interesting detail for me was the mention that Sergeant Custume's men at Athlone bridge were from a Scottish Jacobite Regiment. Anyone know anything about this unit?

st ruth landed with 146 officers,150 cadets 300 English and scots soldiers. could simply be that the sergeant in question was mearly put into an irish regiment . as far as I can remember sergeant custume was a sergeant in Maxwell's dragoons, which as far as I can rember was an irish regiment . also you would find French officers attached to irish regiments for the purpose of training.
