My copy arrived this morning. A quick scan through looks good, will take a bit of reading to assess. I certainly need more books that deal with history and not uniforms (though it has quite a lot of uniform info too).

Yup, arrived yesterday.

Initial impressions are very good, will need to find time to sit down and read through it (them)...

Ok. Got my 2 Volume book too. After all it seems that it needs American printers to show some respect for the Saxons as adversaries of the Swedes.
The two Battles a read through don't show them as complete idiots like some Swedish Sources like to let us believe.

I,m going to write to the publisher to complain as they assured me there would be a chapter on how quickly it took the saxons to run away .the chapter was also going to cover the best saxons method of running away the saxons group method , the saxons escape and invasion method and the saxons sod your mates I'm off and finally the best time to surrender your colours and why running away with your colours slows you down
I want my money back :P

I feel sorry for Johann Matthias von der Schulenburg when reading the compendium, I mean I places his troops great he does everyhing right. But that dosen't help when part of his army just flees!
Dosen't help if you are Leonadro Da vincy if all your paints are made of glue!

The Saxon infantry does it's best, but sevral times the cav just don't do the job!
