How Early for Warfare figures?

Post by rsk112 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 5:39 pm

Would warfare figures be accurate for the Franco Dutch war? Or is that to early? To me they look good for the Scanian war which was fought at the same time, so they should also be good for the Franco Dutch war too? Or should I stick with the Northstar range for that fight?

Warfare do a set of figures which have apostle infantry packs
So could use those for the earlier period but depends how accurate you want your French... they tended to have short sleeves to their coats and what look like strips of ribbons on the shoulders abit like epaulettes... maybe Warfare will be bringing out more early stuff in the future who knows but if they do they will be AMAZING figures :-)

The French cavalry will be no problem as the uniform didn't change dragoons have those stocking caps and du Roy have armoured back and breast plates and broad brimmed hats rest would just have red blue or grey coats broad hats again they are amazing figures if you check them out

Could also use the Guard Francaise models for early French you could just remove the lace from the cuffs and coats as they are modelled in the earlier uniform with shoulder and hat ribbons, just a thought if your into modding miniatures and the pikes are modelled with armour aswell
