Jacobite Artillery for Ireland 1689-91

Post by Alexander Horan » Sat Mar 04, 2017 1:55 am

A little help Gents,

What uniform would the Jacobite artillery have? I know the pioneers of James II's english army would have been all red as of 1688, but was that uniform used in Ireland and if so, would that be a good uniform to used for artillery crew? I've seen people use the red and blue combo, but it seems weird to use guard colors on artillery crews.

Thanks!

Alexander,

red coats if any military colour is to be used but you would be just as accurate using infantry dress from any regiment or civilian clothes.
