Could folk supply me with recommendations for civilian figures compatible with the Warfare range, please?
Cheers,

Toby

Thanks Günter, some nice suggestions there, some of the Outpost figures might also make good rapparees.

I'm still struggling to find many in late 17th/early 18th C clothing, generally, that will look good alongside Warfare figures. Either size is wrong or they look more 1740s in style than 1690s.

Toby,

Yes, well, I know those are not in the same size as the WM's but at least in Civilian terms size does not matter (to me) at all as not all humans are of the same size, hight, weight...and so on.

In terms of clothing you will find most of the style from 1690 to 1780 to have almost the same cut http://www.costumegallery.com/seven.htm

So I would not really worry about clothing styles as all was worn everywhere:-) The Royal Courts invented the fashion of their times and the common peoples followed en suit.

Thanks again, Günter.
Yes, I'm OK with mixing sizes to some extent but, for example, I got some of the civilians supplied by Crann Tara and, lovely figures as they are, they are just tiny alongside the Warfare range. They supply the excellent field forge and some lovely carts, the accompanying figures are beautifully sculpted but very slight, more like small/true 25mm.

I spotted some nice looking figures by Black Hussar from Germany but have no idea how they'd match up in size. Have you come across these by any chance?

The Redoubt Miniatures ECW miniatures range has a lot of civilian figures that work well for the period (to my eyes at least.)
