Grand Alliance Game

Post by Shann1870 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:55 pm

After God knows how long building this collection up (especially the cavalry!), I finally managed to get most of it on the table. Got thrashed for my trouble, but you can't have everything. There is a full report on my blog at www.steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.co.uk for anyone that would like to take a look.

I am sorry not to post a picture or two to whet your appetites, but (I am ashamed to say), I don't know how to do it!! Doh. Can anyone help please.

Many thanks and all the best.

Steve,

To place pictures in here you may chose a "sharing" site like Flickr, which I have to use now  , because of trouble with photobucket. There are several others out there.

Create an account, than upload the pictures you want to show. Those websites provide a img url which you can copy/paste in a message here

in case of most of those sharing sites the code/link is quite lenghty :|

Hope that helps

One quick question - I wonder the red coated chaps in picture 17 are (carrying the red flag with large sun device) ?

This really is a stunning collection that has clearly taken years to complete.

Thanks Phil. The unit you refer to is, I believe, the English regiment North and Grey's. They stood their ground well, as I recall. Thanks for the info Gunther - will see if I can manage it next time!

Lets see if this works. Just had a quick tutorial from Roj on posting pictures for the technically challenged.

Well, it seems to work, apart from the annoying lettering alongside - what am I doing wrong? Anyway, hope you like the pics. There are a few more on my blog at http://www.steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.co.uk

Superb pictures...

to your question with "what do I wrong"

Here is what I do

Leaving just the Img code by cutting off those other part in front of it

AND behind..

20170824_185629 by GÜNTER HEIM, auf Flickr

which leaves only the IMG Code between [ parents ]

Outstanding Steve! Better than my 15mm Austrian Napoleonics from the old Leeds club which I found and gave away last year....
