I'm trying to figure out how to add these to my army, and so figuring out how to paint them. Hall says that each troop had a different color for its hat feathers and he refers to 3 troops. What is a troop, in this context?
It looks like they operated as 2 squadrons of 6 companies. I'm guessing a troop then would be 2 companies?
Based on this I should paint them as 2 squadrons with one of the troops split across the squadrons in terms of hat plumes?
