Flag Size

Post by curassier » Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:12 pm

Greetings all - thinking of moving back into GNW or WSS.
Is there a wargaming accepted "standard" size for infantry standards as it were ?
I want to get some specific ones painted but I want them to match for size with ranges like those produced by Warfare and Flags of War. can anyone help with their dimensions. I feel warfare may be a little larger ??
Many thanks
JM

When You order Flags from Barry he can resize those Flags to what ever the printer/program is able to. Just tell him the, for you, appropriate dimension you have in mind and Barry can check it out.

The Size Barry uses are a bit larger than normal as he prefers "heroic" Sizes of Flags.
My Flags, which I got for the Saxons are actual accurate transferred from Real Life size to 28mm.

Russian (GNW)

Barry tends to do it "Heroic" 20-30% larger than actual sizes have been

As already said, the Saxon flags “in real life” were larger than the Swedish, Danish and Russian flags. I have my Swedish flags sized at 30mm on the hoist.

The Warfare Miniatures flags are available in three sizes, for example Russian Infantry: 30 x 30mm, 40 x 40mm and 50 x 50mm (I suspect that the first version is to scale but he larger ones look great!)
