Barry,
thought I'd start this thread to keep track of the odd errors made during the DH games. Should help iron things out fo June.
Infantry Firing
- You can move at 6", half your range and then double it again but go down at ACC 1.
- Blast weapons roll a minimum of 5D10 to wound.
Artillery
- You don't need to acquire for indirect fire. Your ACC score is determined by the spotter only. Roll to hit and then roll to wound.
Vehicle Firing
- You do NOT need to acquire for pintel or hull HMGs. They fire as infantry.
- You get a +1 on your roll to acquire on the second attempt, +2 on the third ets..
- I don't think there is a modifier for cover with main guns roll to hit just the acquire roll. (checking the DH yahoo group on this one).
- A vehicle crew will bail out if they fail their guts check (time to paint up some tank crew)
Look forward to the next game. How about Monday the 21st at the club?

Hi,
from the Yahoo group by the game designer.
Hi, allow me to answer some questions for you...
1. Both the Acquisition roll and the to hit roll are based on the ACC, but each one has different modifiers.
If you look at pages 21 and 22, you will see each of the pertinent modifiers at the top of the page.
The Acquisition roll is modified by cover. Once acquired, the to hit roll for the main gun is not modified by cover, but sometimes the fixed MGs will be (such as against infantry in cover). Other modifiers to hit include side shot, speed, and target within co-axial range.
2. Pintle mounted weapons function exactly like infantry weapons and so are modified by cover.
Hope that helps!
Keith

Gary, unfortunately I can't make 21st - in Germany yet again. We do need to replay the rules to get a better feel for it but I have also been reading the rules on my travels. Lots of little nuance in there which make the games even more interesting.
I think the forces we'll use in June at Kirrie will be:
2 x US Armored infantry platoons (each with some minor supprt additions)
1 or 2 x US Armoured platoons (probably 5 Shermans apiece)
1 or 2 x British Armoured forces (each of two troops) probably one Sherman and one Churchills
1 x British infantry platoon (yours)
1 x British Airborne platoon
Possibly some commandos
Germans
2 x Panzer Grenadier or Grenadier platoons(in transport)
2 or 3 Panzer platoons
1 or 2 heavy panzer platoons
1 PzJager platoon or pzabwehr platoon
1 other platoon
some work to do.

Hi,

First platoon of US Armoured Infantry will be finished this weekend. A second platoon will be ready for D-Day if required.
