PANZER ACE GAME!

Post by barr7430 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 9:23 pm

I have finished formating Panzer Ace and am now in a position to offer the rules for sale.

I am running a 15mm version of the game as a public participation at Claymore 2005 and intend to take some copies to Historicon 2005 next week. I think it is a little late to get a table organised there but.. you never know!!!

The game is a multiplayer, tank shoot 'em up lasting roughly 25-30 minutes. All you need as a Player is one tank! The rest of the enemy materiel can be gathered together from various collections.

The objective is to gather as many points as possible over 5 turns of play by shooting up everything that crosses your path. All Players are on the same side, competing against each other to be the best tank commander. There are Allied and German versions(as Player).

All the tokens, counters and markers are supplied as laminated cards together with a laminated playsheet and fully illustrated 13 page rule book.

You can find a Taster in the Warchest - Rules section

Cheers

Barry

Panzer Ace at Historicon

Post by barr7430 » Wed Jul 20, 2005 6:52 am

Through the kind auspices of the LoGW(American Chapter) I now have some opportunity to run PANZER ACE at Historicon! :D
Looks like I'll have sessions running on Thursday evening and Friday about 1400.

As this was extremely last minute on my part the game will actually be the Allied version ARMOR ACE the only difference being that the 'heroes' get to drive Allied vehicles instead of German!!!

Hope to have some small painted prizes for the highest scorers in each round.

Watch out for a convention report from your correspondent 8)

Had the privilege of running Panzer Ace five times at Historicon and it went down very well :D .
Will run an even fancier version on home ground at Claymore in two weeks!

Hi Chuck,

I left a few copies with Lon Weiss of Brigade Games. If he has any copies left you can get them from him. Otherwise, let me know! 8)

Hi Martin!

a tenner!

Come and play it at Claymore! I think I will now run two seperate scenarios on two different tables. An Ardennes game with Tigers and a late war game with Allied Armour as the good guys!

There will even be prizes!!!!! :D

You Dundonians always like a freebie!

Tank Scale

Post by pappenheimuk » Sat Aug 20, 2005 9:15 pm

Barry,
Would the rules be suitable for use with 1/35 scale tanks. We were talking about getting a couple of tanks but were not sure what rules we could use.

Yup!

David they'd be suitable for any scale. Perhaps you might want to double the ranges for 1/35th but it wouldn't make that much difference. Are you buying those big prepainted vehicles that sell for about £25?

I always thought they looked great

cheers
