A Blast from the Past

Post by Atheling » Thu Apr 29, 2010 3:02 pm

Managed to get this vignette from Dave Thomas a couple of weeks ago at Triples.

Some of you may recognise it, one person in particular will.....
WWII German arm, fix it on and paint it up and i should have an extremely attractive vignette in the cabinet.

Nothing like a little trip down memory lane, eh? :D

Aha!... I remember it now Darrell!!

In his arm was a rifle at the trail... he is one of the German infantry set.. if you don't have an arm, I'll give you a spare next time I see you.. someone told me you were
'armless!

Good, despite the painting style I was beginning to get a bit worried that you may not have painted it and the this thread may have been a bit of a red herring :D .

I discovered that Dave was selling this piece in the dying moments of Triples- I think I mentioned that I'm not much of a collector but something about the piece jumped out at me so it was bought with much satisfaction at a good price.

That's very kind of you- I'll let you know how I get on with Bernhard.

I'll give Foundry a ring and see if I can procure an arm without paying the crazy postage- if not I'll just order one with my next Foundry order or next time I'm in Notts.

Just glad you could give me a hand    .
