American Halftracks in 28mm

Post by 14th Brooklyn » Sun Jun 26, 2011 2:24 pm

Just posted a couple of pictures of some Corgi Halftracks on my blog:

http://dhcwargamesblog.wordpress.com/

The models have been enhanced using Victory Force stowage and crews.

Just a short teaser picture (obviously more on the blog):

Comments on the blog are more then welcome!

These look very nice plus I didn't realise that Victory Force did 28mm figures, I have always assumed that theirs were 20mm figures and even when you look at the site it's only mentioned in small print at the bottom of the page. They could be losing lots of customers, like me, who also think these are all 20mm figures. A lot of these Americans would fit in rather nicely with my late war French force.

I believe VFM are 1/48 and so are quite a bit larger than most of the 28mm on the market like Artizan, Warlord/Bolt Action, and Crusader. But that means they would be perfect for the Corgi halftracks.

It depends. His Germans and Americans fit in well with Artizan, especially the later Artizan releases. His Brits and Russians fit both Artizan (TAG in case of Russians) and BAM well. I am using them together without any problems. If anyone wants, I can try to take sme comparison shots next weekend.
