Inspired by the scenarios and GHQ vs Rapid Fire! articles I am quite tempted to give the GHQ rules a try. I am thinking of using bigger figure then the rules are intended for (much like in the articles) and am looking at 1/72 scale minis. How well does the game convert to the bigger minis? About how many units/models are needed for a decent game? And most importantly, are the rules worth playing?!

Thanks!

Bunny,

converts just fine! Each vehicle represents a platoon (similar to Rapid fire). Small number of figures either singly based(and kept together) or multi based, represents a platoon. Not many models needed for a good game:

12 vehicle models per side would give a 1.5-2 hr game on the right terrain. Three infantry companies(about 12 bases per side) would also give a great game.

The rules are in my opinion not perfect but VERY VERY GOOD. Skill is required and not just lucky dice and a knowledge of 'process'

Go for it!
