CRETE 1941 - 28mm

Post by TIMUR57 » Sun Jun 25, 2006 7:32 pm

Hi Barry,
Here in Italy the hot is terrible!!!...and as every year during summer I'm thinking about a my old WWII project: CRETE 1941.
I love your 28mm WWII circular basing system. What's the size?
I'd like a company level games.
I don't know which set of rules I'm going to use; I'm thinking about CROSSFIRE , TOO FAT LADIES company rules.... or other. What do You think about?
Wht's about your FoW in 28mm? Is it posible use circular stands?
Is it useful for Crete scenario?
Can You help me with suggestions??
Thanks to every All for help!!!!

Kind regards from Italy!

Hi Timur57!

Keep that good weather pls because I am coming to Italy on holiday soon!!!! 8)

The circular basing works perfectly for 28mm company level games.

If you use FoW I suggest that:

Make each circular base represent a FoW team. In 15mm, teams have between three and 5 figures on a rectangular base. I would put three 28mm figures on a 50mm diameter base or even on a 60mm diameter Games Workshop round base(buy them in a bag from GW shop).

Other rules could of course be used. I have been told that the Two Fat lardies rules are good but have not played them.

Crete sounds fantastic! I also would like to do it at some point in the future.

All the best from Scotland 8)
