Brexit - And the good news! Warfare minis are cheaper!

Post by barr7430 » Fri Jun 24, 2016 7:22 am

Dear World of Wargaming,

As an ever optimistic Brit with a free falling currency... If you are a Warfare Miniatures customer and you live beyond the shores of our island, our lovely wargaming products just became a lot more accessible!

Don't forsake us poor, backward Islanders, support our flagging economy and help me offer jobs to the many people who might need one as a result of our collective decision!

Britain is still open for business this morning (or at least, I AM :lol: )

Rule or is it Fool? Britannia :?:

Well, I believe, for me, trading with English Companies leapes backwards towards the times when Austria was not a member of the EU.
Therefore Custom Duties will be raised again on goods and Miniatures when being bought and sent to Austria. :roll:

We'll sneak them past the Excise men in small boats slipping out from the Essex creeks... (You didn't hear this Les!)

There are clearly many different reasons people voted in the way they did. However, my humble suggestion is that a wargaming Forum (which I cherish) perhaps isn't the best place for this topic. Just a thought !

On the Isle of Wight we are reviving our old industry...

If you wake at midnight, and hear a horse's feet,
Don't go drawing back the blind, or looking in the street;
Them that ask no questions isn't told a lie.
Watch the wall, my darling, while the Gentlemen go by!

Five and twenty ponies,
Trotting through the dark —
Brandy for the Parson,
Baccy for the Clerk;
Laces for a lady, letters for a spy,
And watch the wall, my darling,
While the Gentlemen go by!
Arma Pacis Fulcra

God, War, Drink.

Yep at the moment its the best of both worlds. Low value of pound and still no tariff barriers to the EU. So a win win for shoppers.

Going to the US seems like an extreme sport these days
I recommend plate carrier AND level III kevlar.

Personally I'm waiting for the pound to drop to 10kr flat. U
It's currently at 11.04 (down from 12.40, before brexit)

It's slow going as the NOK is extremely weak! !!!!!!.

Bastardly danes only have to pay 8.8DKK for the pound.

Congratulations on a fantastic new adjective Truls...

Bastardly! I love it. I had used dastardly before but this new one offers great possibilities..

I would hesitate from applying it to nice Danish people though... I will note for everyone's information that alas, I am not, Norwegian :wink:
