It's interesting to see the so called 'Allied' players starting to fall out and blame each other and refuse to take any blame
At least my loyal comarades all performed well and supported each
Cheers

Allies?????

There was not a single ARVN soldier in the entire game. If you mean the Navy, USMC and Air Cav, they were not Allies, they were also ran contestants in the Wacky Race to Hue City... eat my dust Marines!!!

Thanks for correcting me, I forgot I wiped out the Aussies the day before  Perhaps someone will have some ARVN the next time we come to gaming?

We had US Army , USMC, US Special Forces and ANZAC's. In the Long Road South supplement the ARVN have the same stats as the US army. I am sure we used some of the ARVN figures I had for a Rifle Platoon so technically they were there !

I am not talking about Charlie... he was a worthy opponent, I am talking about the lack of ARVN support...
and Marine support...
and Navy support..
and Air Force support...
and Air Cav support...

We were the only ones in Hue City apart from the Gooks!

and of course Dale's so called Special forces who lasted 5 minutes and had one man lurking in a rice bin by the end of the 'invasion'

Hilarious stuff from the Americans, they had the front wheels of two M113's across the city boundary and the sole remaining special forces soldier hiding in a cellar in the fort and they tried to claim that they were contesting the fight for the city. No doubt by the time Barry gets around to posting more of his propaganda photos his whole force surrounded by dead VC will 'prove' that he captured the city all on his own.

Unbelievable...

that you would try and twist the collective melon of the ENTIRE forum population by claiming I DID NOT take Hue City!

You had one disabled ancient T34, and old man with a jam jar containing some lighter fluid and a rag, a wee boy with a fishing rod which had a few hooks stuck out at interesting angles, two BoomBoom girls pfaffing around in a Tuktuk with waterpistols and some invalid Russian pensioner with Alzheimers and a sharpened pencil!

I was rolling down the main street, the boys had on their sunglasses and we were hosing anything that moved with enough .50 cal ammo to re run Apocalypse Now (the Sequel)..... Hue was ours from the minute we hit the road about 20 turns back....

Eat our dust Charlie O'Brien

typical STATE CONTROL PROPAGANDA JOURNALISM... edits about 90% of the text to get the message he wants..

Here.. try it for yourself on this sample:

DAVE O'Brien IS a nice man from North Berwick and he has read many books about HO CHI MIN . You can always enjoy a wargame with DAVE and you CAN be sure he'll have something innovative in store. You can NEVER tell what he will spring on you next. He can BE quite the gentlemen and always TRUSTED to tell the truth about how often he wins. WHEN it comes to sportsmanship everyone is TALKING about his easy attitude. He knows a huge amount ABOUT a vast number of periods and constantly helps MY projects along. VICTORIES or defeats are all the same to Dave.. what a pal he is! :D

Is this the point we pack David and Barry off to Paris for protracted talks with Henry Kissinger?
