Incidentally, I neglected to display the strongest of my peace loving credentials.....

Over the entire weekend:

1. The Mad Baron did not spend a single dollar on any bribes, payments, extortions, assassination contracts, mercenary forces or similar.

2. The Mad Baron did not buy a single replacement soldier for units suffering casualties nor did we buy ANY reinforcements during the entire conflict.

YOU on the other hand replaced the same unit of cavalry 3 times I seem to remember (very careless that you should lose them so frequently displaying a cavalier attitude towards human life as well as poor military judgement.. tut tut). I also seem to remember you paying contract killer money to the Whites, The Czechs (why you did that knowing his track record only further compounds the irony of you calling ME mad  ). I think you also tried (unsuccessfully) to buy off the Japs the Pink Chinese and other Whites. You operated sloppy Border controls, didn't charge for the transit of commercial or military shipments through your territory and failed to impose commercial filming licenses on marauding American Movie companies. Altogether an inferior form of Government in my opinion.

I even offered you protection at one point for a trifling $50,000. You need a lesson in economics fella!

To all the gentlemen involved may I say what a great weekend it was, & many thanks to Colin & Dave for putting on a tremendously fun game.

It was such a shame that 2 lying, cheating, back stabbing, monk murdering, boat stealing villains also happened to be in Kirriemuir at the same time.

If mad Baron Hilton ever invites you to a coffee morning it can only mean 1 thing, he's gonna give you some bullshit about a good friend of yours who means you know harm at all, & charge you for the privilege.

Just off to the cinema now to watch Peter Nicholson's new movie "How to murder the Czar & get away with it".

Just to say again what a wonderfully fun weekend, hope Ade recovers from his phobia of all things maritime soon & Dave makes lots of new friends who don't want to kill him too.

Bob

What only two???
What about the other 5 reprobates that were trying to wipe out the peace loving Japanese despite offers of friendship from me.
At least I can hold my head up high and say that I kept my word the whole weekend and didn't break a single agreement unlike many others, too many to mention.
Cheers

Toggy,

you are falling under the same persecution complex that Dave suffers from. You're right on one count... Ade is a rat, but me.. I was more honest than Honest Dave

Economics is obviously NOT your strong point, probably something to do with your madness.
The unit you mentioned came back twice at a cost of 80$ each time and was very effective the first time at wiping out a few of your units then suddenly your compatriots planes had obviously been bribed to take it out. The second time it was deliberately left in the open as lead magnets and worked effectively attracting four planes at 150$ each and my supporting infantry managed to shoot down two of them, exceptional value for money except for your gullible allies.

Most of us are honest guys it's just the deadly duo Hilton-Howe that you would need to watch out for

There will be lots of pics as Angus, Colin and Peter all had their cameras, I forgot to take mine but fortunately the Dai-Li Sun was there to report all the truth.

Actually Dave, I've got a deal for you...

I'll write your propaganda, save you the trouble. I'd be much more convincing and for a small consideration I'd be happy to spread scurulous rumours about myself.

You're too straight, your attempts at lying are too obvious. I mean trying to pass those guys off as lead magnets etc. They sat about behind you lines and then got herded around Mongolia by a couple of old biplanes. I actually think it was my guys who shot our friends down accidentally.. and there is you again, trying to take the credit for shooting down planes... dear oh dear.

The Alliance of a lifetime slipped through your fingers.. I could've made you rich

As soon as the dispositions were revealed I realized that I was going to have to play the “white man” for the weekend. Gazing from wonderful Samarkand towards beautiful Tashkent my Army of God decided that it would be very unsportsmanlike to attack Colin in Tashkent since he was umpiring much of the time elsewhere. The only other table my forces set foot on was the chaotic battlefield inhabited by the other umpire Dave and the Mad Baron in the form of a mad baron!

Naturally my Russian trained Indian Muslims and Afghan levies were on a peaceful mission to the Buddhist temple where we meant to offer our sincere apologies for an earlier misunderstanding some years ago. Our protective umbrella would have protected our yellow robed brothers and the sanctity of their shrine from the depredations of the boorish types occupying that area.

On the point of entry, when my attention was elsewhere, one of the umpires, did I name Dave, virtually wiped out an entire unit with one artillery round, and he wasn’t even ashamed of that! He then proceeded to trash my peace loving Afghans as fast as they could arrive.

Meanwhile Honest Ade broke our treaty when I was away booking dinner for a convivial trans-Asian dinner for us all. During that time, again when my back was turned, Ade destroyed my armoured car, decimated my only artillery battery and wiped out an infantry battalion.

“Repel all boarders” became the order of the day and at one time four other armies were being seen off with ease. Sorry guys. That is to all except the Turkish traitor who assaulted my rear, in the nicest possible way I hasten to add. The Turkish Pasha was sent scuttling back to Turkish Pasha land with something between his legs but the same cannot be said of the Turkish assassin on a magic carpet who attempted to kill my commissar leading some other friendly Afghans. My Afghans kebabed him and we shared a desert meal with Toggy Bob’s Japs and my faithful Mongol princess and her escort. She might have been Tibetan but women with zebra hairstyles all look the same to me.

Well done to whoever won the game as long as it wasn’t anyone who played a sneaky go-between over the two days. I need to read rules and conditions more thoroughly. Piling up my forces in Samarkand I thought that was the measure of converting locals to my cause. Every additional unit was paid for in hard cash as my friendly umpire can testify and I ended up with almost double my original force. That’s where my points/cash went.

For anyone wondering what one of my Afghan units was doing traveling around Asia visiting every major city this is what was happening. When Peter’s photographers took snapshots of one of my minor units, one of my Afghans snuck in behind and nicked a camera. Fascinated by this new technology and their first trip on a train, the Afghans decided not to get off and instead to pass through every city taking photographs for souvenirs. It was very difficult to pass through some stations (untrusting warlords) and if the Afghans were stopped they just took all the more photographs for an extra turn. Kev required a sworn agreement written in blood and signed in several languages.
I can honestly say that I stuck to every agreement made and I won’t have to spend any time recovering knives from anyones back but it was enjoyable watching the knives, poisoned chalices and double dealing from ever peaceful Samarkand. May your God of choice bless you all with whatever you deserve – and that includes Adrian!

Hm, are you sure about that? I was under the impression that he lurked around a Player in Derby who had thrown to many 6s in a row
