Gunfreaks Sengoku project.

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Gunfreaks Sengoku project.

Post by Gunfreak » Wed Feb 25, 2015 11:11 am

First of 4 bases(if I ever finish it. I got abit over board. First I orderd some ashigaru(theise saumrai I had laying around) Then I ordered some more yari samrai(to finish the unit) with mounted samurai, and some ashigaru archer.

Ok looking samuari, but the lace on the perry figures are very hard to pick up.

Hi Gunny,

Even without picking up all the details those are still fine Warriors of Takeda Shingen! :D

Well done!

They are very nice indeed, Gunfreak. :D

Although interested in this period, one of the reasons I've never attempted to paint Samurai is I know I would go blind trying to paint all the gorgeous detail on the figures!

For some unknown reason I can now see the photos and they are great. Keep up the good work.

Good stuff Gunfreak, i know what you mean about the Perry lace, i have some and have moved onto Westwind Samuria because of that very reason.
