Some Baroque scenery ( Forgeworld earthworks )

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Some Baroque scenery ( Forgeworld earthworks )

Post by chema1986 » Tue Nov 08, 2016 8:36 am

Hello Gentlemen, a couple of years ago, I decided to acquire a product from Games Workshop's Forgeworld, for my modular tabletop, the resin Earthworks. I was kind of intimidated by its size, so It layed around until this month... So I painted it with a large brush, airbrush, drybrush, pigments etc etc, Inspired partially by the fabulous terrain pieces shown in the League of Augsburg's Blog :)
so, here is the result. I think its quite versatile, so I can use it with my late XVII century miniatures, and also warhammer fantasy or Thirty years war.

Superb piece of terrain and very well painted, and your figures are superb.

I have a Forge world siege line, they are great pieces of scenery and it's a pity they have stopped selling them

Fantastic looking piece of terrain! :o
And so versatile to be used! I could even see it to be used for ACW :D
