Donnybrook shenanigans

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

To make it even better we were using egyptians as women because they
"kinda" looked like women. To be honest it was one of the best games we've ever played.
It was the apprentice boys scenario

Jim, I have a brothel for my Marlburian camp with a lady doing the business, sadly at the time of making the model the only figure in a skirt I could find was a highlander in a kilt. Sometimes you just have to use what's available.

Another entry into this year Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge. From a mixture of companies representing some NYW Sappers or Pioneers for the English, French and maybe even a Jacobite!

Just painted up Blue Moons Drums along the Ohio, Woodland Indians for my Donnybrook collection. The figures are a tad on the large side, but so full of character.

One army painted for Donnybrook but which unit is it?
French – La Marche?
Jacobite – Earl of Clanrikard?
or
Monmouth's Red regt?

Easy answer…………all of them!

Three flags
One flag to rule them all, one flag to find them, One flag to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

I JUST noticed that the mounted dragoons you painted above have the stocking caps... looking forward to getting some of these for my Dutch Dragoon Guards!
