I have Chad and I actully dismissed the idea for the following reasons:
1. Our hobby is a minefield of broken promises and there are many instances of people taking advance payments (genuine and bogus) and not delivering..
result: reputation in tatters and a couple of broken legs (I know of many cases).
This hobby is full of shysters and people with good ideas but no business nous whatsover. The end result is the same in both cases : frustrated, disappointed people who put up cash in good faith are sans product and want a resolution to their problem. I would too!
2.I don't need the cash from sales of the rules (when I get it I'll only reinvest it in the Napoleonic version which will follow
) and I don't want the pressure of deadlines not set by me.
My hobby is just that - a pure escapist fun ride. I have an extremely demanding job which is full of pressure and the hobby just lets me blow that gently away!!!
I thank you very much for trusting me enough to even suggest it and that trust is exactly why I politely decline.
We are far nearer the end of the production process than the beginning so there won't be too long to wait.
