Officer 1er Hussards

Officer 1er Hussards

This Perry Miniatures 40mm French Hussar was a little diversion as I played around with the idea of doing Napoleonic in 40mm. Not for long though! I enoyed painting him but realised that the transition in  technique and finishing style from 28mm to 40mm is a huge leap. I have been far more successful with this transition in the Pulp genre than Napoleonic. This guy was hard work. He was awarded a 2nd in a recent painting competition.

28mm WW2 Vehicles DirectoryThis is a very useful link to a directory of many major manufacturers of vehicles in the scales 1/48th-1/60TH. No point in me producing something like this when someone else has done it so well. Links are all available via this link. Might be useful to read in conjunction with an article in the WARCHEST - Ascending Scales

Andrew ThomsonAndrew's work is superbly finished with a painter's eye for detail, a modeller's creativity & imagination and a gamer's practicality.Andrew is without doubt one of my favourite painters and I consider his style to be unique and extremely difficult to ape. He also believes he is Captain Willard!

  • Armaments in Miniature

Armaments in MiniatureDave Schmid's fantastic model planes compliment perfectly 15mm FoW vehicles and figures. His site is currently being updated and there are far more models than currently listed I believe. Prices are great and he is very interested in what his customer's are interested in!
