Any reply is going to be highly subjective. I know but it can not be any worse, then the point we are at right now. And after all... at least I know how my fellow wargamers tick! Also difficult depending whether you're after huntin', shootin' and fishin', mountaineering, All of these are a "...

Going to Scotland

I know this is a bit OT, but knowing that many forum members here come from Scotland, this seemed like a good place to ask. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Scotland this year. It will either be in mid-May or (a little more likely) late June (... I know this does not coincide with a R2E We...

As far as I know, skimrishing did not always fall to the light Coy.´s, but to also to the Grenadiers. Some Regiments send them out instead, other in addition to the Light Coy. men. Although I would think that if those two companies were weak due to previous engagements for example, that the commande...

Quit making me run your German comments through a translator! :) Ah... is there any better way to earn the language of the Prussians! :D Just have to wonder how much funnier those comments were when put through an online translator! You can always get started and say they represent Yorck's corps af...

[...]Of course, I had to rethink the whole thing. After a time I found finaly the LoA and now all is worked out for 1:20 for Napoleonic and even ACW, SYW and so on. Nothing looks better, nothing feels better(sounds strange...) I know. We play ACW with a ruleset that requires 1:30 scale for 25mm gam...

Two of my favourite sayings...

... are: No plan survives first contact with the enemy! Man is his own worst enemy! Turns out they really hold true. As some might have noticed... I was planning to play with a men to figure ration of 1:30. Only thing is... between X-Mas and New Years I found that I had painted all units so f...

Skirmisher tables @ 1:30 scale

Hi there, as a follow-up to my previous question about skirmishers in 1:30 scale. Obviously the skirmisher tables on pg. 63 and 64 would require changes, so I am wondering... do these look OK? Pg. 63: 11 or less | can not deploy skirmishers | --- 12-20 | remove 4 models | 2 (one pair) 21-28 | remove...

Question for Barry... Colours for dirty uniforms?

I finally decided to paint my Nappy minis with dirt on their uniforms. I was looking at the Grand Battery shots in the rules (for example pg. 78 ) and was wondering what colours you used?

THX for all the reply´s so far. Now there is a follow-up that came to my mind lately. How does this affect the tables on pg.s 63 and 64? I think for the table on pg. 64 it should be quite straight forward with one combat group being replaced with a pair of skirmishers. Since the number of combat gro...

Minimum unit size to deploy skirmishers

Yes, I know it is in the rules, but I am working with a 1 mini :30 men ratio. So if 20 minis is the minimum Unit size to delpoy skirmishers at a 1:20 ratio, what is the minimum at 1:30.

THX,
