I recently read a book by Digby Smith and he stated that they were dressed in Dark Blue Greatcoats which led to some Allied units confusing them for Imp. Guard. And that they were actually used completely like infantry.

Was planing to put my command on a normal base and do the skirmishers split up over two half size bases (Meaning they can form a line when deployed as skimishers and can be put behind one another for a normal base size when not).
