Re: Basing infantry 2 x 2

Thanks for the answers.
Some extra info: we are not thinking about smaller units (yet  ) but 5bases of 4 or 3 figures for infantry (2 bases of 3 with officers and flags and 3 bases of 4) plus 2 bases of each 2pikes.

Basing infantry 2 x 2

Dus anyone using a different basing than the 3x2 (infantry) or 3x1 (cavalry), eg 2x2 infantry with a 4*4cm base and 2x1 cavalry with a 4*5 base?

Great French army.
Just asking; what bases do you use and what flags?

regimental artillery

Did have the infantry already battalion pieces/regimental artillery in the 1690's (nine years war)?
AFAIK the French got these around the 1740's but Ducth, British and Austrian armies had them before but when started that?

thanks

minimum army

Although I like to have a big army, painting time is restricted.
So, what is the minimum amount of units (each side) to play a game with BLB?

thanks

Saw it in the flesh (or better, tin) but it was great. The combination of figures and beautiful terrain/castle is terrific. Liked also the small details on the battlfield and inside the castle

comparing figures LoA ranges

As I have seen the figure comparison on this site (in Gallery) and also in the new WSS magazine (1688 edititon) I am at a loss how big the new range will be. My dixons and Foundry have the same height, in the pictures it seems that Dixons is bigger, probably a newer range of figures. My Reiver figur...
