I am not sure whether to do campaign or full dress, Depends on what figures are available.

Italian army 1808-1814 ?

Hi All
I would like to build an Italian army [not neapolitan]

They had metal lozanges on their shakos, the pictures of them show they had black gaiters, would they have worn these on campaign ?

Is their any suitable figures out their, any help would be gratefully receaved.

Hi Barry Yes Italian, I got such a buzz from useing those fine fellows 8) and I feel obliged to paint a brigade of them with a battalion gun of course. I have done a bit of searching on the internet and found a good site with the uniform details, just was not sure which figures to use, Perry figures...

I have this urge to go out and buy some nice figures for a new army, they have a love of pretty girls and ice cream.
Any sujestions on which figures would be best?

Hi All
I commanded Italians on both days, they fought like heros before going home to mama for their tea.
Lots of lovely figures and WOW terrain, many thanks to all for a great weekend, I am home now very tired and ready for a hot bath .

Thanks lads I will be playing RtoE,Blackpowder and March of Eagles, so all figures will be on company size bases. I was at the Derby show yesterday and saw 5 figures on a base 3 rear & 2 front rank, it looked ok. I was thinking of haveing different sized battalions to reflect some units below streng...

Hi All I am aiming to do my Austrian army for the 1809 campaign, 6 coys per battalion. Their are a mixture of regement strengths from 24 figures to 36/42, as their are 6 bases[1 per company] 4 or 6 figures per base look ok , but odd numbers 5 or 7 per base I am not sure this would look right.
