Yo Ho Ho!.. an unholy Alliance - Konstam & Hilton

Post by barr7430 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 8:12 am

Having visited Battlegames site yesterday I noticed a preview of the next issue's front cover. It features one of the shots I took to accompany an article written by Angus Konstam about Piratical wargaming options. Two additional Pirates in the contribution then

The dawning of a new age of industrious cooperation :D , harmonious accord  and synergetic creativity

Angus might even begin painting 15mm figures AND play Germans in our next wargame.
Then again, I might buy Rapid Fire and sell all of my stuff so that I can reinvest in 20mm..... AND THEN... start playing WARHAMMER 40k

The possibilities are endless

Barry,

Don't.....

By the way, I haven't played "Rapid Fire" for years, and I've never sullied my hands with a copy of "Warhamster 40K". In fact I think fantasy players should all be taken out and neckshot - after getting them a good steam cleaning first. Next to 15mm DBM players, they're the lowest of the low... As for 15mm, I don't do munchkins. However, you have managed to sell me on 28mm WW2, and since the Normandy game in Kirrie I've been buy all the 1/50 scale Shermans V's I can lay my hands on!

Hi,
will this mean Angus won't be sending the usual pictures to Barry in e-mail any more.

And don't slag off 40k too much, thats how I got started. I was young and inocent and didn;t really know what I was doing.

Neckshooting fantasy players?? I think i preferred the spam and the -, a least they weren't so opinionated lol

OK I hate the evil empire that is Games workshop as much as most, but i have to admit with the historical stuff they do they are responsible for a lot of the new faces in the hobby, without the GW influence and the kiddie market fantasy created and filled, a lot of the gamers we all know wouldn't be in the hobby and alot of the wargames traders probably would be out of business. A far bigger scourge is the card gamer, now if we had a weekly burning of magic the gathering players i would certainly chip in for the petrol and matches

Just my 2.5p worth

Ian I do hope the Tories put Boris up as a candidate....

Labour can then be assured of at least another 18 years in power

Barry,

You might live to regret that comment about Boris the Buffoon. He's within a hairs-breadth of becoming the Mayor of London, which is certainly a frightening prospect! The inhabitants of the South British shires certainly display their peculiarities in the privacy of the ballot booth... perhaps we should just be grateful if they don't vote for the National Front, The English "Democrats" or the Christian League!

I was a little over-zealous in wanting to stick a Tokarev in the neck of fantasy players. We should just force them to play with the card gamers until they see the light and reject the black arts in favour of "proper" wargaming!

Pip Pip,

Angus the Irrascible.

Unfortunatley we have a track record of putting up Pratts for the London mayor elections.....

A bit of a Don Quixote Party
