Another 5 flags of the 30 Years War has now been added to the website, these are free and designed to fit on a pike and are as always on a A4 sheet and set at 200 dpi you give you a good quality printout, each week more will be added to the range.

MILITIA FLAG OF THE SAXON ARMY
Malc,

Beautyful made flags :o

May I ask on what historical base these flags are made?
Many of these flags have for Saxons an unusual color
Saxon TYW-Flags have had black/white or black/yellow resembling the colors of the coat of arms of Meissen(red crossed swords) and the Ernestine Line.
Could you please tell me from what source this flags are coming from?

Cheers,

Günter

Gunter, Malc has been basing the Saxon flags on my book 'Troops of Electoral Saxony During the Thirty Years War' by Jean Belaubre, illustrated by Jean Jacques Gilet. If you have any further info I'm sure Malc would love to have it.

Dave,

Do you know if this book is still available somewhere? I did a swift search but it showed up nothing :(

Thx,

I doubt it Gunter, it was published in 1982 by Pat Condray.
It's a pity you can't get it as it is packed full of info as well as over 100 flags.

Gunter, just found this.

The fact that it seems to have coloured pages I assume it is a modern reprint.
