I'm building armies for Dux Bellorum and I was wondering:
1. If Musketeer Miniature Saxon personalities are compatible with Gripping Beast Saxons (recently purchased Aelle and standard bearer).
2. Is the plastic Gripping Beast plastic Saxons suitable for Early period Saxons?
Thanks.

1 Yes both are the larger end of the 28mm scale
2 Yes thought you might want to swap the shields which are medium for small or bucklers if you believe the bucklers hypothesis for very early Saxons

I'd think about mixing in some of their plastic unarmoured 'Dark Age Warriors' for earlier Saxons

The Dark-age warriors do very nicely for Saxons and will take head & so helmet swaps with the Saxon Theigns. The only let down is that all the Dark-age warrior heads are bareheaded so you get no pygian caps & you will have to swap the supplied medium shields for bucklers if you believe the buckler hypothesis.

I've got a stack of metal bucklers if you need any?
In general, Musketeer miniatures mix very well with Gripping Beast, especially the newer Norse types.

I would agree both Gripping beast & Musketeer are at the larger end of the 28mm size range and they fit together rather well. Artizan designs also fit in with them but are a little shorter over all but not so much they look wrong as do the ones by West wind which are of similar size and build to Gripping beast.
