fantastic and inspiring work.
Thanks for the compliment
.
Please could you explain a little about the basing.
Is this for WAB?
Yep. Basically I'm more interested in putting together units that 'look right' than opting for conventional WAB basing. If someone I play complains then so be it, they are probably much more interested in winning a game than playing the game if you see what I mean? Actually it 'opens' up the flamks of my units so it's me that's at a disadvantage
.
How many figures does each of your longbow units amount to?
OK, at the time of painting each unit was to represent 18 Longbows. However, with the basing for each mini I allowed 20mm in width by 30mm in depth, I could easily say that the unit represents three ranks of nine mini's.
I'm more used to seeing neatly ranked up units on square bases and your work is a fantastic change for the better.

Yep, I really think that the visual appeal of a unit of toy soldiers is what matters. Also, hopefully I will be able to use the units with different rule systems without too much of a fuss.
Hope that helps answer some of your queries? Feel free to ask anything you want

Cheers,
Darrell.
