Movement Rates.

Post by Churchill » Tue Dec 22, 2009 12:52 am

Hi Barry,
How do you all feel about VARIABLE MOVEMENT for everything?

At the moment it is only Routs, Pursuits and Evades but what about charges, and ordinary movement?
Interesting and could be fun, but would this not slow the game down.
More dicing and more looking up movement charts.

Regards............Ray.

I say stick it in the optional rules section. Go with the standard movement for units with variable for routs, pursuit and evades in the core rules.

Agreed, place in the Optional Rules section. Keep basic movement in the core rules, anything else that's fancy - Optional Rules.

Just out of curiosity, as I'm not fully verse in all the infantry's historical movements - was an about face used in battle?

I am using the term ABOUT FACE to described the 180 turn around described by Jim and Greg which is a 90 degree turn followed by marching in a U shape and a further 90 degree turn.
