So this new batch of sculpts will take our Russians up to 10 packs or just under 50% of the available Swedish infantry codes.
A 22nd Swedish infantry code is now sculpted - Grenadiers in mitre, ready.

Still can't comment on the Bolg...
I love the defending musketeers, absolutely superb!
Are you intending to produce kneeling pikemen at the 'receive charge'?

Barry,
these look fantastic, thank you so much for making my life harder
I will have to see if I can fit these in between Ireland and my Ottoman project.

"between"?
Mark, don't all our projects run concurrently? Mine certainly seem to...

Mine most likeley run that way! All are termed SAXONY
It is of course a different Story as the term Saxony covers projects from the 9th to the 19th century

Fortunately I only have one regiment of the 'boys in blue' to model...
Then it will be a question of simply trying to fit in a few(!) defenders of Holy Mother Russia amongst my other projects!

Very Nice!!
PS the defensive positions I see the men lunging with the bayonet what is the other pose?
Looks like a very awkward stance, is it a stationary present Bayonette stance for receiving cavalry or infantry? It Looks like the hand holds the butt I take it to take the impact but looks like it cannot be lunged very effectively if something is up close?

Seems to be accepted by Russian re-enactors as a valid position, and also by a Russian based figure manufacturer...
I'm afraid I can't read Cyrillic either...

I seem to recall English/British armies used the same "charge bayonet" drill, certainly during the '45. Contemporary pictures in Morier (sp) show this. Didn't Duffy say it was a direct pose from the push pike drill movement transposed to a musket and bayonet?
Best

Cant say why but I am unable to see a text there so I give here a link to a picture of a Russian Infantry drill book of 1698 that shows that "Musket Push":

Page is from the Russian Guards Re-Enactor Website
which is partially in english

Hope that helps
