Actually the idea is that, whilst I'm painting up line infantry and I feel as if it will never end, I keep an officer figure handy and do it bit at a time. That way I don't get fed up and it keeps me fresh.

Jim

GREAT STUFF JIM... but General Le Toggy is still the best, all action like the man himself.

Totally agree, Bob. Much better than that
Buggeration chappie with the penchant for sheep. And before the observant
Dave O' starts, the bird beside the CoffinDodger is
NOT a vulture.

St Merde's Brigade at Last
Consists of one eight-pounder Battery and four 36-Figure Battalions (1/33 - 2/33 - 1/17 - 2/17) with two three-pounder Battalion Guns, a four-figure Sapeur base, four single-figure Battalion officers (for FIBUA), a 10" Gribeauval Mortar (for Russian Priests) and twelve two-figure skirmish bases under the command of a Brigadier with St Merde himself lurking in the background. The infantry can also be fielded as two 72-figure battalions for 1:10 scale.

Looking forward to seeing them get plastered by the Russians next weekend Jim, not that I'll be a biased umpire!

The only time they will get plastered is in the victory celebrations!
And I will be bringing my dice tower: you know, the wee machine that produces a preponderance of
ones when I throw for an event.

"Gribeauval" Three-pounder Battalion Guns
Barry gave me the idea for these when he presented me with two to use in the last RtE weekender. I couldn't find a French three-pounder from Front Rank (I realise the French didn't particularly use them and if they did, I don't even know if they used three-pounders), so I went back a period or two and got their 18th Century three-pounders. I will probably be using them more as an adjunct to the 1:10 battalions for the sole reason that they look good when attached to a regiment in line. Figures are uniformed for 33rd and 17th Line Regiments.
Bloody BIG for three-pounders.
