Ok cheeky question,

Is there a plastic conversion (easy) to make austrian cavalry from any of the existing kits out there as i look at the price of the nice front rank units at 48 figures per unit and my wife starts reaching for the knives and as she has been a theatre nurse for 32 years maybe i don't want to annoy her.

Of the boxes available, I would use the French Hussars from Perry minatures.
They are fairly close to Austrians ish....

For metal figures they tend to be the best value[cheepest].

Let us know what you think of the castings, I have no yet bought any from old glory.

Castings look nice, not too much flash will clean them up and undercoat them tomorrow (weather and wife willing). Also got the Austrian personalities pack, some very nice figures in there.

Charging hussars have separate arms for more variety and separate carbines, could be fun gluing them together.
