Hi Ray,

Yes it does thanks.

One question. I have had a quick run through the posts on this thread. There was a reference by you to having some dismounted dragoons painted. Did you post any pictures of these if so as I couldn't seem to find any?

Did the British dragoons commonly dismount during battles or were they more like the other cavalry units by this time?

Ray won't be happy until he has every allied unit at Blenheim in his collection. (Then he will start on the Franco-Bavarians!)

Hi Ray,

I see your Royal Irish regiment has a blue & red st Patrick's cross rather than the usual white & red. Is this based on specific information?

I hope you do not mind, but I'm planning to add some more battalions to my army based on your excellent regiments, namely the Royal Irish & Royal Welch Fusiliers.

I'm also going to add a Hessian Grenadier Battalion and wondered if the flag and uniform on the war office site is correct to for this unit.

I bow to your superior knowledge on these points.

I also want to have the DeLuc Luneburg- Celle, De Brueil Hanovarian & the Anhalt Dessau Brandenburg infantry battalions and wondered if these uniforms and flags are correct?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Mark

The electorate of Brandenburg became known as Prussia in 1701 so for a while the two names mean the same, so don't understand the puzzle? or have I misread you.

Hi Ray,

Here are the uniforms & flags for the Brandenburger's/Prussians on the war office website.

Would be good to get your feedback on the accuracy of the Anhalt-Dessau uniform and flag.

Best,

I feel your splitting hairs mate, Elector Frederick III crowned himself King Frederick I of Prussia in 1701.
Their power base was Brandenburg, but they are listed as Prussians on any OOB for Blenheim.

King IN Prussia, not King OF Prussia... (well not until 1772)

Ray, I wasn't correcting you I just didn't understand the comment you made ..
I'm a bit puzzled at the Anhalt Dessau battalion's as these were Prussian's, not Brandenburg battalions.
and i basically said they are the same thing, which i'm sure you knew anyway, forums can be so hard at times.
