It may be of interest to some of you that the House of Commons Journal is a virtual gold mine of information for this period. The first link is for estimated costs of Six Regiments of Horse, Two Regiments of Dragoons and Twenty-five Regiments of Foot to be sent to Ireland. it gives a breakdown of each regiment and the cost for Generals down to Gun Smiths.
