At least two Prussian infantry units were completely wiped out whilst caught in rout by French Hussars. This was at about 6.45pm battle time north east of Plancenoit when the very last of the last French reserves were thrown into the gaping h-o-l-e ( approximately 550 yards wide) which had previously been held by the French 1st Brigade/19th Infantry Division/VI Corps. A simulataneous charge by elements of the 11th Infantry Regiment, 1st and 2nd Pommeranian Landwehr Regiments (about 4,500 infantry) swept the outnumbered French battalions away in a single stroke. In response, the French countered with 2 charges which rolled the disordered but victorious Prussians back towards the Bois de Paris. It was fleetingly David Imrie's(and perhaps Ian Beal's) greatest wargaming victory... ever
